Biography
Bill Kirchoff was first elected to the Town Council in 1999. He retired from Cinergy/PSI in 2000 after 33 years of service. His last position was as District Manager for the Hendricks County area. Bill is the Council liaison for transportation, which involves maintaining and developing the town’s roadway system and stormwater. He has served as past president for the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce. Bill has his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and an associate degree from Vincennes University.
Community Service
Bill is extremely involved in the community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Indiana United Methodist Children's Home and on the Advisory Council of the Hendricks County United Way. He is also an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, Faith in Action, and the Plainfield United Methodist Church. Currently Bill is a member of the Executive Service Corps. He received his Associates of Science (AS) degree from Vincennes in General Management and his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in General Studies from Indiana University, with a Certificate in Gerontology. Bill and his wife Diane have two sons, Brad and Matt, and a daughter, Stephanie.
Goals for the Town
Bill's goals for the Town are to provide high quality services in a customer-friendly manner for the lowest possible cost, to maintain the quality of life that we enjoy in Plainfield, and to stay ahead of the growth curve in providing an efficient and safe transportation infrastructure.
