Liaison: Sewer Department, Sanitation, District 5 Council
Dan was elected to the Council in 2015 and began serving on January 1, 2016. He and his wife Patty moved to Plainfield in 1984. Dan grew up in Decatur Township, so living in Plainfield means he’s lived within the same nine miles all his life. He says when he first walked into the house in Plainfield they now live in, he felt like he was at home. Dan and Patty have a daughter, Allison, who started at Van Buren Elementary the first year they moved to Plainfield and has since graduated from Plainfield High School and become a teacher herself.
Dan has retired from Gilchrist and Soames where he was the Director of Quality and Regulatory Compliance. His specialty was quality management systems like the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9000 and 14000. His goal as a member of the Town Council is to see the sewer projects that are in planning stages come to fruition.
They are excellent plans, and I want to maintain that energy to keep them on schedule, he said.
Our utilities are well-run.
