The Building and Engineering Department is responsible for reviewing all new developments and structures within the Town of Plainfield. The engineering aspect of the department includes working with the planning department to review all new or modified developments, subdivisions, infrastructure and buildings. The building department is in charge of all permits within the town limits, including foundations, buildings, pools, decks, and accessory buildings.
